Why foil may not suit others
A 1980s Milton Keynes house with a trussed roof and an accessible loft is a loft-floor job, not a rafter job. A straightforward cold loft with good access is often more appropriately upgraded with conventional mineral-wool loft insulation than a rafter-level foil system, and we say so when it is.
